  11. What for ?
  12.     To convert GIF images to the PNG format with DOpus5.5+ and giftopnm, pnmtopng
  13.  
  14. Why ?
  15.     Because as anybody should know GIF is obsolete, nobody should use GIFs anymore.
  16.     And because gif2png sometimes crashes on my machine.
  17.  
  18. Installation:
  19.     - Copy the script (French version or English version) to DOpus5:ARexx or wherever
  20.       you want.
  21.  
  22.     - Use it in a button or a menu and call it as:
  23.       ARexx | DOpus5:ARexx/GifToPng.dopus5
  24.  
  25.     - Copy giftopnm and pnmtopng to C: or anywhere else
  26.       ! If you don't put them in C: then you have to change the 10th line of the
  27.       script and put your own path

  29. Features:
  30.     - Progress bar
  31.  
  32.     - automatic filetype recognition (won't try to convert an image that is not a GIF)
  33.        ! only if you have the GIF filetype installed in DOpus5
  34.  
  35.     - MyPicture.GIF or MyPicture.gif or MyPicture will be converted to MyPicture.PNG
  36.  
  37.     - and that's all because that's all I'm able to do :-) .....

  39. Known problems:
  40.     - Some interlaced GIF don't like to be converted and it will result in a corrupted
  41.       PNG file but it does not come from my script but apparently from pnmtopng :-(

  44.     - giftopnm and pnmtopng are included (I hope I had the right to do it) but you can
  45.       find the full archive on aminet (with the docs) as gfx/conv/picconvert.lha

  58. A quoi ça sert ?
  59.     A convertir des images GIF au format PNG avec DOpus5.5+ et giftopnm, pnmtopng

  61. Pourquoi ?
  62.     Parce que comme tout le monde le sait GIF est révolu, personne de devrait plus
  63.     utiliser le format GIF et parce que gif2png plante parfois sur ma machine
  64.  
  65. Installation:
  66.     - Copiez le script (version française ou anglaise) dans DOpus5:ARexx ou ailleur
  67.       si vous préférez.

  69.     - Configurez un bouton ou un menu ainsi:
  70.       ARexx | DOpus5:ARexx/GifToPng.dopus5

  72.     - Copiez giftopnm et pnmtopng dans C: ou ailleurs
  73.       ! si vous les mettez ailleurs vous devez modifier la 10e ligne du script et y
  74.       indiquer votre propre chemin d'accès.

  76. Caractéristiques:
  77.     - jauge de progression
  78.  
  79.     - reconnaissance du type de fichier (ne va pas essayer de convertir une image qui
  80.       n'est pas en GIF)
  81.       ! pour cela vous devez avoir le type de ficher GIF installé dans DOpus5
  82.  
  83.     - MonImage.gif ou MonImage.GIF ou MonImage sera convertit en MonImage.PNG
  84.  
  85.     - est c'est tout car c'est tout ce dont je suis capable :-) ......

  87. Problèmes connus:
  88.     - Certaine images en GIF entrelacé ne supportent pas la conversion et il en
  89.       resulte une image PNG boguée. Cela ne vient pas de mon script mais apparemment
  90.       du programme pnmtopng :-(

  93.       giftopnm et pnmtopng sont inclus (j'espère que j'ai le droit de faire ça) mais
  94.       vous pouvez trouver l'archive complËte sur aminet (avec les docs) :
